Taranika Sanders, the accomplished principal of Utterback Middle School in Tucson Unified School District, has spearheaded an impressive turnaround, elevating the school from an F to a B rating in just four years. Located in the Las Vistas neighborhood, the school is now an AVID National Demonstration school, providing a nurturing environment for local students. Taranika's commitment extends beyond academics, as she collaborates with 50+ organizations to address students' basic needs, ensuring equitable access to quality education irrespective of their families' income.
